If you haven’t been to the Brufjell pothols yet, we strongly recommend a hike to that place now! Weather has been fabulous lately so we decided to visit it again yesterday. Due to partialy steep path it is the best to be there when it’s dry and sunny.
Yesterday and today weather was just fantastic, just like in the summer. Accordingly 16 and 14 degrees Celsius, fabulous! There were rumours that first babes are already gone sunbathing. Always nice to see a something pretty, so I went to take a look on them.
Even though calendar spring arrived for 2 weeks ago, we decided to hike Trolltunga – The Trolls Tongue with the skis and backpacks full of gear. It is still winter in the moutains! When we arrived at the parking lot, fresh snow was falling constantly and covered out footsteps quick.
Break the routine! Harsh, cold, rainy day. Well, just another day of the spring here, on the west coast of Norway. Perfect time to enjoy moutains on my own.
It’s already a habbit now: Sunday = Sundays hike! This time to fallen kingdom of flaciers, now ruled by erratic glazes and stone avalanches, which slided down when the ice melt. Some of you had already occasion to see the famous Gloppedalsura, some of you is just about to do it.
Last weekend we have been on a fantastic ski trip to remote cabin in Taumevatn (Sirdal). In totall 8 passionate outdoor people who had a good time in the nature. Even though way was difficult and we spent 4.5h on it (way in), it was soooo worth it. Quietness, weather, nature. People we met and good time we had is what really matters. One of that famous 8 decided to sleep outdoor. Gues who. 😉
Some say that paddling on the fiord is booooring. Especially when by the both sides rocks are has
1km of spooky high. The fiord itsell is 2-3km width. 46km of paddling almost all straight. And than
180degrees swing and paddling back. Boring!
Or maybe not?
Lysefjord is know from (among other things) the curious seals which are often following kayakers
and wondering what are they doing.
Trip the Fiords of South, September 2018
In September, anything can happen and this time we had come crazy adventures! There were
warm days, full of sunshine, when you could climb Preikestolen on a short sleeve, and there were
also rainy days when we wandered in rainy gear: D
